We conduct cybersecurity training in a specialized physical facility and we use state-of-the-art equipment.

The KYPO Lab Training Facility

  • The room contains six large tables, each with three seats and three all-in-one PCs.

  • The tables are portable to allow the instructor to rearrange the room for various activities, including team assignments, student presentations, and group discussions.

  • There is also a projector, a large display wall, and two portable TVs.

  • It has been used during several national and international events, including the Cyber Czech exercise.

  • We operate a cyber-physical testbed, which serves for cybersecurity research and education.

  • It allows us to emulate industrial control systems within critical infrastructures, such as production and distribution of electricity, gas, and water; transportation; and telecommunication.

  • The testbed is built using open-source hardware and software and provides reconfigurable modules of a wide range of industrial control systems.

  • You can read more in our paper: KYPO4INDUSTRY: A Testbed for Teaching Cybersecurity of Industrial Control Systems.
